Cheryl Dobbs Eaton,
51, of Chipley, FL passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2009 in
Panama City, FL. Ms. Eaton was born in Abilene, TX to Leon Dobbs
and Betty Miller Dobbs on March 5, 1958. Her parents preceded her
in death.
Ms. Eaton worked as
a restaurant manager. She was a member of the Pentecostal faith.
She loved to collect antiques. She was a very family orientated
person and loved spending time with her family. She loved reading a
good book and playing video games. She also loved to talk.
She leaves behind
one son: Scott Eaton and wife Lucy, of Kermit, TX; two daughters:
Deanna Eaton of Dothea, AL, and Dama Chopelas and husband Kevin of
Chipley, FL; two brothers: Mike Dobbs and wife Mona and Darrell
Dobbs, all of Corpus Christi, TX; one sister: Tammy Hubbard and
husband Danny of Lueders, TX; seven grandchildren: Crystal, Jordan,
Joshua, Darren, Justen, David Allen, and Alicia; and three
great-grandchildren: Damen, Larisa, and Zavian.
She was preceded in
death by her parents; one son: David Eaton; and sister: Becky Dobbs.
Graveside services
will be held at East Hill Cemetery in Ft. Stockton on Tuesday,
August 18, 2009 at 2:00pm. Pallbearers will include Scott Eaton,
Travis Robinson, and Kevin Chopelas, Mike Dobbs, Darrell Dobbs and
Danny Hubbard. Arrangements are entrusted to Family Services
Funeral Parlor. |

Irene Manske |

Irene Manske, age
87, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2009 in San Antonio, TX. Mrs.
Manske was born in Mereta, TX to Henry Rudolph Wiesepape and Eleanor
Henrietta Eckerman on December 1, 1921. Her parents preceded her in
death.
Irene married her
love, Carl F. Manske on June 20, 1942 in Rowena, TX. Carl preceded
her in death on June 1, 2000. Irene was a very active woman. She
enjoyed working with her hands, especially when it came to crafts.
She was known to sew, crochet, and make ceramics.
Survivors include
her daughter: Beverly Kay Manske Husky and husband Bobby of
Cotulla, TX; three grandsons: Brent Husky of Tomball, TX, Bryan
Husky and wife KK of College Station, TX, and Bart Husky and wife
Shelayna of Rosharon, TX; three great-grandchildren: Byrkley Husky
of Tomball, TX, and Codi and Garrett Husky of College Station, TX.
She was preceded in
death by husband, Carl Manske; parents, Henry and Eleanor Wiesepape;
two brothers: Buddy Wiesepape and Curtis Wiesepape; and
sister-in-law: June Wiesepape.
Funeral Services
will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Family Services
Funeral Chapel, officiated by Brother Rick Derrick. Interment will
follow at Kermit Cemetery. Pallbearers include Brent Husky, Bryan
Husky, Bart Husky, Ronald Wiesepape, John Leonard, and Eddie
Leonard. Arrangements are entrusted to Family Services Funeral
Chapel.

Leonard Wade Jennings |

Leonard Wade
Jennings, formerly of Kermit, TX, passed away on August 15, 2009 in
Lansing, Allamakee County, Iowa.
Wade was born Friday,
February 14, 1958 to Pickens Inloe Jennings and Dale Evans in
Bainbridge, Decatur County, Georgia.
As a young man, Wade
worked in the oil fields in Texas then moved to Sioux City, Iowa to
join the Carpenters Union, working with them for over 20 years. He
later moved to Montana and continued working as a carpenter. He loved
country music, singing karaoke and bowling. His greatest passion in
life was golfing. He played every day that he possibly could.
He is preceded in
death by his mother: Dale Evans Salter; one brother: Pickens Inloe
Jennings, Jr.; and one granddaughter: Tacara Ray.
He is survived by his
father: Pickens Inloe Jennings and step-mother Joanne of Homer, NE;
daughter: Rachel Ray of Wichita Falls, TX; step-daughter: Christina
Eldridge and children; brothers: Ray Jennings and wife Janette of
Kermit, TX, Shawn Salter and wife Tiffany of San Antonio, TX, Pat
Salter and wife Melissa of Marble Falls, TX; three grandchildren, one
niece and four nephews.
A memorial service
will be held at 4:00 pm Friday, August 21, 2009 at Family Services
Funeral Parlor Chapel. |

Don Crawford |

Don Crawford, age
64, of Kermit, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at the
Hospice House in Odessa, TX. Mr. Crawford was born in Mosheim, TX
to James William Crawford and Lettie Bea Gilcrest on July 1, 1945.
Don was a self employed dirt contractor.
Don married Jane
Hopkins in 1969 in Wink, TX. Don was a member of Masonic Lodge
#1258 AF&AM of Kermit, a member of The Order of the Eastern Star,
and a member of the Community Church. Don was also very involved
with the local 4-H group as the kids were growing up.
Survivors include
two sons: Bradley Crawford and wife Tamisha of Kermit, TX and
Johnny Anderson and wife Beverly of Dallas, TX; daughter: Lesa
Sanchez of Midland, TX; sister: Nelly B. Douglas of Oregon; five
grandchildren: Brandon, Matthew, Britnee, Junior, and JD; and
numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in
death by the love of his life, Jane Hopkins Crawford; parents, James
and Lettie Crawford; four brothers: Gene, Dene, JC, and Tillman; and
two sisters: Ann and Sis.
Funeral Services
will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at the Community Church
in Kermit, TX, officiated by Rev. Henry Freund. Masonic graveside
service will follow at Kermit Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the
Masons. Arrangements are entrusted to Family Services Funeral
Chapel. |

Nancy Lee Flowers |
|
Nancy Lee Flowers,
age 65, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the Hospice
House in Odessa. Nancy was born in Kermit, TX to Ernie and Virginia
(Martin) Fielding on Wednesday, March 22, 1944.
Nancy married her
lifelong love, Ronnie Flowers on May 26, 1962 in Kermit, TX. She
demonstrated a great love for God and attended church at the
Freewill Baptist Church in Kermit where she also taught the Adult
Sunday School Class. Nancy loved her family and she delighted in
telling stories about her kids and grandkids. As a dedicated career
woman, Nancy worked as a manager for Montgomery Ward and most
recently as a book-keeper for Kermit Motor Company. She loved
crafts and was forever painting, and making baby blankets. Her
adventurous spirit led her to be quite the daredevil on her
motorcycle. She also loved red cars, jewelry and Christmas.
Survivors include
her husband: Ronnie Flowers of Kermit, TX; one son: Ronnie Mark
Flowers and wife Sherri of Baytown, TX; two daughters: Lori Lee
Stewart and husband David of Gainesville, Fl and Dina Lynn Bolf and
husband Thomas of Kermit, TX; mother: Virginia Fielding of Kermit,
TX; one brother: David Fielding and wife Linda of Ft. Worth, TX;
three sisters: Betty Wills and husband Gordon of Odessa, TX; Peggy
Thompson and husband Buck of Kerrville, TX and Lisa Marcus and
husband Daniel of Somers, NY; seven grandchildren: Ashley Flowers,
Jerid Bolf, Daniel Flowers, Chad Lankford, Jeremy Bolf, Chloe
Stewart and Carly Stewart.
She was preceded in
death by her father: Ernest Andrew Fielding and her sister: Carol
Fielding. She dances with them and her niece, Kathryn, in heaven
today.
Interment will be
at 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 01, 2009 at Kermit Cemetery.
Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm September 01, 2009 at the Free
Will Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Charles Jones and assisted
by: Dean Thompson and Michael Fielding. Honorary Pallbearers will
be: Her grandsons (Chad, Jerid, Daniel, and Jeremy), Billy Voyles
and Leon Mitchell. Arrangements are entrusted to Family Services
Funeral Chapel. |

Cecil O'Neil |

Olen “Cecil”
O’Neil, age 79, of Jal, NM passed away on Wednesday, September, 02,
2009, in Midland, TX. Mr. O’Neil was born in Lamesa, TX to Robert
Lee and Leta (Greaves) O’Neil on April 13, 1930. He married Joyce
Brown, on May 27, 1948 in Midland, TX and they celebrated 61 years
together. Cecil served his country in the Navy from 1952 to 1956.
Mr. O’Neil enjoyed
playing the fiddle, growing pecans, working in the yard, cooking,
and eating. He loved his family, playing with his grandkids and
taking care of others.
Survivors include
his wife Joyce O’Neil of Jal, NM; two sons: Olen C. O’Neil Jr. and
wife Pat of Odessa, TX, and Allen L. O’Neil and wife Tammie of
Kemmerer, WY; two daughters: Alice Dehnel and husband Richard of
Sundown, TX; and LoRae McFarden and husband Glenn of Artesia, NM;
two brothers: Elbert O’Neil and wife Betty of Midland, TX, and Jimmy
O’Neil and wife Shirley of Midland, TX, one sister: Nita Faubian of
Midland, TX; ten grandchildren: Cory O’Neil and wife Carrie, Clay
O’Neil, Casey Hernandez and husband Steve, Crissy Torres and husband
Cisco, Sheena Salo and husband Dan, Robert O’Neil and wife Sarah,
Rachel Willard and husband Allen, Russell Courtney, Katie McFarden,
and KaLee Dehnel; nine great-grand children: Jordynn, Logan, Bella,
Isaac, Harley, Destiny, E.J., Diego, and Cira.
He was preceded in
death by his parents: Robert Lee O’Neil and Leta (Greaves) O’Neil
and three brothers: R.L., Hoot, and Delbert O’Neil.
Funeral Services
will be 2:00 pm MST, Friday, September 04, 2009 at the Church of
Christ in Jal, NM, officiated by Brother Daryl Micham. Interment
will follow at Jal Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Family

Nestor Campos
Vigil, Sr. age 80, of Kermit passed away Saturday, September 05,
2009 at Rockwood Manor in Midland. He was born February 26, 1929
in El Mulato, Mexico to Jesus and Guadalupe (Campos) Vigil. He
married Hermelinda Garcia November 11, 1949 in Lovington, NM. She
preceded him in death October 14, 2006. He worked for the City of
Kermit in the Parks Department.
Those left to
cherish his love and memory include five sons: Nestor C. Vigil, Jr.
and wife Carmina of Farmington, NM, Manuel G. Vigil and wife Olivia
of Midland, Guadalupe G. Vigil of Kermit, Mario Vigil and wife
Michelle of Ft. Bragg, NC, and Javier Vigil and partner Henry of
Odessa; one daughter: Eva Martinez of Kermit; two sisters: Alicia
Carrillo of Odessa and Maria Nieves Vigil of San Marcos, TX;
seventeen grandchildren, twenty five great-grandchildren, and one
great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in
death by his parents: Jesus and Guadalupe Vigil; his wife:
Hermelinda Vigil; two brothers: Jesus Vigil and Juan Vigil; and two
sisters: Josefina Navarrete and Sara Martinez.
Rosary will be said
at Family Services Funeral Chapel 7:00 pm Monday, September 7,
2009. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, September
8, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Arrangements are entrusted

Tommy Jeffery Jr. |

Tommy Jeffery Jr., age 50, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009 in
Odessa, TX. He was born in Kermit, TX on December 31, 1958 to Tommy
and Betty Jean (Decker) Jeffery. He loved to dance and had won many
awards. He was a very funny person who had a great sense of humor
and a wonderful positive attitude. He was an inspiration to all his
friends.
He
was preceded in death by his mother: Betty Jean Knox and
grandfather: Virgil Decker.
Those left to cherish his memory are his father Tommy Jeffery Sr.
and step mother: Karen Quarles Jeffery of Odessa, TX; grandmother:
Odessa Jones of Abilene, TX; five brothers: Perry Lee Jeffery of
Odessa, TX; Tommy Earl Jeffery of Palmdale, CA; Brian Ray Jeffery of
Cedar Rapid, IA; Adam J. Jeffery of Odessa, TX, and Kevin J. Quarles
of Germany; three sisters: Barbara Lynn Jackson of North Hollywood,
CA; Carolyn Ann Dawson of Hawthorne, CA and Beverly Robinson of
Lubbock, TX.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, September 11, 2009 at the
First Baptist Church with the Chaplain Jane Morin officiating.
Interment with military honors will follow at Kermit Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rickey Jeffery, Perry Lee Jeffery Sr., Perry Lee
Jeffery Jr., Adam J. Jeffery, Tommy Earl Jeffery and Brian Ray
Jeffery. Honorary pallbearers will be W.T. Sheppard, Seth Skinner,
Toby Eaton, Immanuel Jackson, and Robert Galindo. Arrangements

Margaret Denny,
81 of Kermit left her life holding hands with her family on
Wednesday September 16, 2009 at Winkler County Memorial
Hospital.
Services are
scheduled for 2p.m. Sunday September 20, 2009 at Family Services
Funeral Home with Chaplain Bryan Johnson officiating, interment
following at Kermit Cemetery.
Margaret was
born July 30, 1928 in Loving Texas to Fred & Ethel Byrom.
October 1, 1947 she married James C Denny in Wheeler Texas.
They had three children, James Michael, Patrick Daniel, and
Marsha Lynne.
She was a
nurse, a homemaker and an avid bowler. She loved her family,
her children, and most of all her grandchildren. She bowled in
leagues, travel leagues, and competed in over 20 National
Tournaments around the United States with her “girls” and her
“ducks”.
She is preceded
in death by her husband of 61 years James C Denny. She is
survived by her sister: Ruby Bliss of Kermit, Sons: Mike Denny
of Kermit, Pat Denny and wife Holly of Kermit, Daughter: Marsha
Hill and husband James of Kermit; Five grandchildren: Jeana
Espinoza of Mansfield Texas, Clay Denny of Cheyenne Wyoming,
Zach Hill of Midland, and Callie Hill of Midland, Shea Denny of
Odessa, Andi Heather Saltor & husband Shawn of Monahans, and
Zach Denny of Kermit; five great-grandchildren: Keaton Hill,
Kristina & Mia Espinoza, Christian Saltor, and Kaytlin
Eastep.
Pallbearers
will be Kenneth Arnold, Wayland Thomas, Ricky Kidd, Jimmy Don
Arnold, Bill James, and Kendal James. Honorary Pallbearers will
be Zach Hill, Clay Denny, Keaton Hill, Zach Denny and Chuck
Prescott.
The family
would like to express their sincere gratitude to Home Hospice.
Janice Turner and Veronica Sanchez were more than nurses they
were our family. They loved Margaret like she was their family
and Margaret felt the same way. Also we would like to thank the
staff at Winkler County Memorial Hospital. Dr. Pham, and all
the nursing staff were exceptional, caring and kind to Margaret
and to all of us. Memorial donations may be made to Home
Hospice, as well as Meals on Wheels in Kermit.

in Odessa, TX. She was born Monday, May 17, 1937, in Manuel
Benavides, Chihuahua, Mexico to Jesus and Rita (Dominguez) Marquez.

cherish her memory are her husband: Patricio Caballero of Kermit;
one son: Orion Caballero and wife Anna of Midland, TX; one daughter:
Lorena Armendariz and husband Armando of Monahans, TX;; three
brothers: Roberto Marquez and wife Erminia of Presidio, TX., Ricardo
Marquez and wife Eva of Midland, TX and Reyes Marquez and wife Dora
of Hobbs, NM; three sisters: Carolina Villareal of CA; Angela Urias
and husband Jose of Midland, TX and Hortencia Valdez and husband
Francisco of Kermit, TX.; ten grandchildren: Oriol Caballero, German
Caballero, Yuri Caballero, and Abel Caballero, Magaly Polanco, Alex
Polanco, Adriana Balderrama, Flor Armendariz, Jose Armendariz, and
Anahi Armendariz; three great-grandchildren: Dalay Caballero, Reina
Vidana and Yanetzi Armendariz.
She was preceded in
death by her parents: Jesus and Rita (Dominguez) Marquez, a
daughter: Martha Polanco; grand-daughter: Gladisela Polanco; and a
brother: Ramon Marquez.
Rosary will be 7:00
pm, Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at Family Services Funeral
Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 pm, Thursday,
September 24, 2009, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Celebrant will
be Father Richard Waiwood. Interment will follow at Kermit
Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jose Armendariz, Alex Polanco, Abel
Caballero, Oriol Caballero, German Caballero and Geovanni Valdez.

Dale Harbin |

Dale Harbin, age
80, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Medical Center
Hospital in Odessa. Dale was born on Tuesday, September 10, 1929 in
Morton Valley, TX to Roy and Thelma (Dabbs) Harbin. Dale married
Jeraldine Walker on April 10, 1957 in Poplarville, MS, and they
celebrated 52 wonderful years together.
He loved playing
dominoes with his buddies, shooting pool, and making the drag. He
also loved being a grandpa and enjoyed family get-togethers. Dale
was also a Korean War Veteran serving his country from 1950 to
1952.
Left behind to
cherish his memory are his wife: Jeraldine (Walker) Harbin of Kermit,
TX; children: Larry Harbin of Odessa, TX, Corby Harbin and wife
Devon of Frisco, TX, Lana Williamson and husband Andy and Melanie
Adams and husband Troy, all of Kermit, TX; three brothers: Wallace
Harbin and wife Margaret of Comanche, TX, Wayne Harbin and wife
Evoynne of Odessa, TX, and Glynn Harbin of Odessa, TX; five sisters:
Doris Wyatt and husband Jim of Rockwall, TX, Loree Foster of Graham,
TX, Charlene Kimball and husband E.L. (Red) of Colorado City, TX,
Patsy Harrington of McKinney, TX and Shirley Evans of Kingwood; 11
grandchildren: Ashley McLeaish, Brenton Adams, Alex Harbin, Kyle
Adams, Andrea Harbin, Austin Williamson, Avery Williamson, Amreigh
Williamson, Seth Harbin, Jacey Harbin, and Christy Pendergrass-Lara;
and four great grandchildren: Ashton Adams, Kycen Adams, Lisa Lara,
and LeeAnn Lara.
Dale was preceded
in death by his parents: Roy and Thelma Harbin; and three brothers:
Wade Harbin, Darvin Harbin, and Lynn Harbin.
Services will be
10:00 am, Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Northside Baptist Church in
Kermit, officiated by Brother Steve Long. Pallbearers will
include: Andy Williamson, Troy Adams, Austin Williamson, Brenton
Adams, Kyle Adams, and Alex Harbin. Honorary Pallbearers are Avery
Williamson and Seth Harbin. Interment will follow at Kermit
