Carlos C. Martinez, age 67 passed from this life Saturday,
December 16, 2006 at his home in Jal, New Mexico. He was born
October 30, 1939 in Fashing, TX to the late Carlos E. and Maximiana
Martinez.
Carlos was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan.
He greatly enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Some of his fondest memories were sitting around a family
BBQ, drinking beer, and singing.
Carlos ran a full service Texaco station for years and
eventually retired from Merryman Construction.

Odessa, TX; one brother: Abelardo
Martinez of Cuera, TX; six sisters:
Ana Sanchez of Harlingen, TX; Esther Martinez of Colorado;
Fala Ingram of Oklahoma; Rosa Aguilar of Harlingen, TX; Maria
Magdalena of Harlingen, TX; Ida Reyes of Harlingen, TX; nine
grandchildren: Cynda
Martinez, Nikki Boren, Jordan Martinez, Gilberto Martinez Jr.,
Filimon Navarrete Jr., Maria Yesenia Navarrete, Xavier Martinez Jr.,
Myranda Martinez, Fabian Martinez; one great-grandchild Jonathon
Phillip Boren.
A prayer service in Carlos’ memory will be said
6:00 pm, Monday, December 18, 2006 followed by a rosary at 7:00 pm
at Family Services Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be
2:00 pm Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at Family Services Funeral
Chapel. Interment will follow at Kermit Cemetery. Services were
entrusted to Family Services Funeral Parlor.

Bobby Gene Vinson, longtime resident of Kermit, went to be
with his Lord on Friday, December 22, 2006 at the age of 75.
He was born Friday, April 10, 1931 in Callahan County, Texas
to the late Charlie C. and Nola Myrtle (DeArman) Vinson.
Bobby worked in the parks department for Winkler County.
He was a member of Belvue Baptist Church.
He is survived by three brothers: Edgar Vinson of Wichita Falls, TX, Clay Vinson, Jr. of
Richardson, TX, and John R. Vinson of White Plains, MD; two sisters:
Olivia Douglas of Prescott, AZ and Genella Henderson of Wink,
TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 2 pm Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at
Family Services Funeral Chapel in Kermit with Brother Danny
Fitzpatrick officiating. Interment will follow at Ira Cemetery in
Ira, Texas. Arrangements
are entrusted to Family Services Funeral Parlor.
